Business Loans for Women - Finding a business loan

According to the Center for Women’s Business Research, the number of firms (from 1997 - 2004) that are majority-owned by women increased by 17%, almost twice the increase of privately held firms.

The first step to finding business loans is to check with your local business-development centers, your chamber of commerce, and the Small Business Administartion Agency (SBA).  These places will assist you in finding a lender and also give you tips on how to get started with the loan process.

Before you begin looking for a business loan, make sure your business plan is in place.  The lender will want to know about the business you are in, the what, where and why, etc, to know you will be a good risk.
